Even pigeons are beautiful! I passed this scene every Sunday evening for 9 weeks and finally decided I should stop and photograph it. Well worth looking like a crazy woman stopped in the middle of the road. How about you? Ever see something while driving down the road and think, I wish I had a picture of that. Well, do it!!! Feeling Special Today

Its amazing how something so simple as a flower can just melt your heart and make you feel so loved, thought of and important. Holly and I shot their Wedding at Patten Chapel on the UTC campus. They had an absolutely beautiful Wedding and one of the most moving Ceremonies I have attended. Kevin and Jackie wrote their own vows to each other. Spend five minutes with this couple and you can see how much they love each other.

Belle's Cupcakes are FABULOUS! They are certainly the best cupcakes I have ever had. Before baking cupcakes Lora worked at a preschool, which she loved. Lora's love of baking came came from her childhood. Lora reminisced about baking with her mother, who she says was an amazing cook, and experimenting with different receipts. When her Son and his partner's opened Market Street Tavern she decided to bake desserts part time for them. That's where Belle's Cupcakes started! Lora was baking cupcake perfection before cupcakes were popular. Belle's cupcakes won the Epilepsy Foundation Chocolate Lover's Fling 2 years in a row and Partnership for families twice. Last Mother's Day Belle's cupcakes won the cupcake competition at the Chattanooga Market. Bottom Line is that Belle's Cupcakes are awesome and if you haven't tried them then you are missing out and you need to make a trip to Market Street Tavern ASAP.

Great makeup really adds to a photo session. These girls are friends of mine and were nice enough to let me practice doing their makeup and photograph them. : ) Liz is a photographer herself and is generally on my side of the camera. Anyway....as I was saying, great makeup can really add to a photo session. And although I did these beautiful ladies makeup, there are some really great makeup artists out there.

The Chris Tomlin/Louie Giglio Concert was awesome and inspiring! It was a full house. I don't think I have seen so many people in one place. And as a photographer I have to say that I LOVE when I shoot a concert with a light tech. It is SOOOO much fun to play with the lights and exposure and see what I got. I really had a lot of fun shooting this concert for J103. After the concert Ted and I took the small group that won concert tickets to meet Chris Tomlin. It was so heart warming to see how excited they were to meet him.

Chattanooga Salvation Army’s 614 Corps is launching a New Arts Outreach.
Singer/Songwriter Andrew Osenga joined them a few weeks ago to help get started with "An Evening of Stories and Songs".

Andrew Osenga is probably best known for his lead guitar, vocalist, and songwriting roles with the critically acclaimed Christian Music group "Caedmon’s Call", which he was a member of for 6 years. Osenga shared songs and the stories behind his music in a rare solo concert. This event was part of Osenga’s “House” Concert Tour- an evening of intimate, unplugged artistry to connect with audiences on a deeply personal level.

"Salvation Army Corps 614" will be offering a wide variety of artistic events and programming that will help bridge the Homeless and Artistic Communities in Chattanooga. A portion of all ticket proceeds will go to help create a Start Up Fund to benefit this new Arts Outreach.

Rose and Jeremiah's Maternity Session

I love this family! We have all been friends for years. I was so glad to photograph them today and take advantage of the beautiful morning light and the small blizzard Chattanooga experienced this past week. It's not like we get snow often down here in the south. I was so glad to see them, we haven't seen them in what feels like way to long. I LOVE SNOW! It reminds me of living up north. It was a bit to dangerous to get out today so Bryan and I stayed home from work. I wanted to make a giant snowman but we did not get good snowman snow. Maybe tomorrow after it freezes a bit we can try it. But I did make some snow cream. Mayfield does not have anything on the real deal. Sadie loved playing in the snow. So I got lots of pics of her playing. Maggie really wanted nothing to do with it. She looked at me like "I'm an inside dog mom".
WINTER TO DO LIST:
1. Build a GIANT Snowman
2. Go sledding (Does anyone know where to buy a sled in the south)
3. Invest in a snow shovel (I didn't know we needed one here)
4. Make more snow cream
5. Finish the snowball fight Bryan started

The Feezel Family

I had a great time with the Feezel family yesterday at their horses stable. We spent the better part of the evening and the freezing cold riding and taking pictures. I even got to ride for a bit. I hadn't been on a horse since I was younger than Karis. Sammy and Karis were troopers in the cold. We are going to get together again when it warms up a bit.

Iv'e been dreaming of a White Christmas! I have not seen a White Christmas in well over 10 years. The last time was when I lived in Pennsylvania. I woke up this morning and saw the snow and freaked out. It was an awesome Christmas Present.

Garth Brooks

Thanks Babs for hooking me up with some Garth tickets. I was so bummed out when I found out that Garth was touring again and the shows in Nashville were sold out. The seats were in the nosebleed section, literally we were one row from the top, but it was still awesome. The pics I took were with my big zoom lens and Garth still looks tiny. But it was AWESOME!!!!!!

Luci + Steve

Luci and Steve live in Minnesota and are getting married in the fabulous Chattanooga. We met over this past weekend to talk about their wedding plans. They had a friend in Minnesota take their engagement photos as a gift, but they were happy to let me snap a few for their wedding cards. I really thought this one was sweet. It was pretty cold out and poor Luci wasn't wearing a coat. Steve trying to keep her warm made a sweet moment captured.

This Beautiful family is the Eaton Family! Elisabeth is one of my Bestest Friends! I Love this family so much! They have the sweetest kids. I tell Lizzy all the time that I hope my children are as behaved and sweet as hers. Cause my doggles certainly are not. I am always excited to be chosen to take their Christmas Card picture every year! She is also an amazing photographer and I was lucky enough to have her take our family Christmas card picture this year. I Love you Lizzy!

Friends and Family!

I thought I would blog about friends and family today! I am really blessed with some amazing friends and family. Over the years I have aquired some really great friends who will just drop everything just to talk because you are having a bad day. I am so appreciative of all the friends that God has blessed me with.

I really have been blessed with an amazing life in general. There are always some ups and downs, and people will come and go, whether you want them to or not. But in general I am very fortunate.

My family is a bit crazy. But I sure do love them. They would say the same about me. The apple didn't fall to far from the tree. : ) But we have decided that it is what makes us interesting and fun!

My little immediate family consists of me, my husband and my two doggles Sadie and Maggie. They are just the loves of my life. Here is a picture of our family. Kudos to one of my Bestest Elisabeth for taking the time and the patience to deal with my crazy doggles and my crazy self for this amazing photo of us. I LOVE IT! She is such an amazing photographer. You can feel the love and passion in every photo she takes.

I love this baby girl. This is Laura. She is such a ham. So photogenic. She loves to smile and strike it for the camera. She is definitely working the Elvis Costume. Now, what you may not know is that her daddy has been singing "love me tender" to her since she was born. Just thinking of her dancing with Brent on her wedding day brought tears to my eyes....Which I might add is a LONG WAY AWAY!!!!
